Unclaimed Property Identification Service

TLSG's Unclaimed Property Identification Service is an individually designed program that identifies unclaimed funds belonging to a qualified client through researching numerous, targeted sources of potential unclaimed funds.  For a set professional service fee, TLSG provides our client with a detailed report identifying the sources of the unclaimed funds identified by TLSG.

TLSG's Unclaimed Property Identification Service begins with an intensive Initial Property Identification process ("IPI") to ascertain sources of outstanding funds that appear to belong to our client.  These sources include hundreds of Federal, State, City, County, US Territory and foreign jurisdictions, many of which are exempt from state escheat laws.  TLSG also identifies outstanding payments from sources where our clients' right to claim funds may be 'extinguished' by the passage of time. Such funds must be recovered within a prescribed time period or the client risks forever losing the right to claim their funds.

The IPI is based upon a detailed analysis of our client, its acquisitions, mergers and predecessors.  This analysis includes considerations such as physical locations, business lines, d/b/a' s and states of incorporation.  TLSG utilizes proprietary databases and software, legal research, and public information requests to locate these unclaimed funds from the sources identified during the IPI.  Based on the IPI and subsequent investigation, TLSG consolidates this information and prepares a comprehensive report for our client, identifying and detailing all unclaimed property that TLSG has located that appears to belong to our client.  The client may then use this report to recover the identified property on its own or, if qualified for TLSG’s Corporate Unclaimed Property Identification & Recovery Program, a client may then choose, for an additional service fee, to retain TLSG to assist with the recovery of these funds.
